Our shipment arrived on Monday finally!!! We shipped our stuff July 8. The shipment arrived in port the first week of Sept, but due to paperwork issues we are only getting it now. I spent Monday afternoon unpacking. It is so nice to have our things. I can put some decorations out, like pictures, and make it like home. The only problem we have is that the closets are very small, so I am trying to find a place for the out of season clothing. Daniel was so very excited when he got home and saw all of our stuff. He ran around touching everything. It took me two days to unpack, but it was worth it! I had my first cup of coffee in the Disney mug from our trip to Disney World. My little coffee pot just filled the mug! Yeah coffee!
Because our shipment did not come in until noon on Monday, we needed to find a Halloween costume for Daniel for school. They had a parade and party at school. I looked in a couple of stores here, but the selection is very limited - basic witches and devils! So I decided to make one instead. Friday I had bought a shelving unit in anticipation of our shipment - I knew I needed a place to store all the food we shipped! Anyway the box was the perfect size. We turned it into an iPod! At school they had a costume contest. Each class picked a winner from their class. Daniel was selected from his class. After the whole 4th grade got together and the Principal and Vice Principal voted on the best out of the 5. While the 5 were standing at the front of the room, the kids started chanting "Daniel, Daniel" or "iPod, iPod" if they didn't know his name. He won best costume - he was so excited! A very exciting day all around!

Because I was not at school, I am reposting his teacher's blog so you can look at classroom pictures if you like. The 4th grade teachers dressed as Pacman - very cute!

Monday night we went to Veronica's complex for Trick-or-Treating. They live in a neighborhood that is all single family houses - all expats. The complex set the time for trick-or-treating from 5:30-7:30. They close the area down so no cars drive through (which is very good considering how people drive here). Randy, Richard, our driver, and Paul, Veronica's husband, took the kids out Trick or Treating. Veronica, Marilyn and I stayed to hand out the candy. Veronica had a big bowl of candy and I brought a big bag of 250 chocolate pieces that Ken (thanks Ken!) brought from the Untied States for us. We went through all of it and when the four kids got back, we had them empty their bags and get rid of anything they didn't want - so we handed that out too! We estimated between 350 - 450 kids came through! It was interesting because there were Chinese who came in Trick or Treating. Many didn't have costumes. Some came to the door without a bag - they just held out their hands. It was a different experience. You just go with the flow!

I want to thank everyone who sent Daniel a card or gift for his birthday. He loved opening all the cards that came in. I really appreciate everyone taking the time to do that. It helped make this birthday a little special for him, since he couldn't be home.

| I couldn't get high enough to show all the cards - this picture doesn't show the cards on the sides! It is amazing - Thank you everyone!!! |
