China - Day 34, Monday

Today I decided to take advantage of having a driver and I went shopping for some stuff I need for the Apartment. I went to Puxi (other side of the river) to a Hotel Equipment store. They had some really neat things and not very expensive. I got 4 square dinner and 4 square sandwich size dishes that I thought looked cool. I also got a serving dish that is shaped like a heart, and some small heart shaped bowls also. Then I got some misc other things for the kitchen. I was hoping to find a cruet for my salad dressing, but no luck. I was also hoping to find a waffle maker. They had one but of course it was the hotel type, which is too big for my counter. It was a lot of fun wondering through the 4 floors.

After that we went to Metro Mart. Metro Mart is kind of like BJ's/Costco. I think I mentioned this before. I wanted to get some groceries. They carry a lot of imported items. Plus I needed some spices. I didn't realize how hard it is to get spices. Basil and Oregano are not that easy to find. This is the only place I can get Clorox bleach. Have not been able to find Shout or Spray and Wash yet. Will keep looking.

At Daniel's school each teacher keeps a blog. The blog includes homework, notes about the week, etc. If you would like to look at it, it has pictures of Daniel's class and some of the things they are doing. You can access it at:
http://teachers.saschina.org/elau/. Currently on the main page, when you load it, is a picture of the entire class. Daniel is in the green Irish shirt towards the right. Bryce (Daniel's first play date) is the third one from the left  (red hair). Grant is in the red Nike shirt. There are more pictures on the left side of screen if you scroll down. If you continue to older blogs you will see some more pictures (one of Daniel holding up a rectangle). When you scroll down to first week and you will see back to the beginning of school. Click on the picture and you will be able to scroll through them all. Quite a few pictures of Daniel.

Well off to bed, have a meeting in the morning!
