China - Day 80, Friday

Today Veronica, Marilyn and I went to Guilin Garden with the Women's Group. The Garden used to be the home of a famous Chinese gangster in the 1930s and 1940s. One thing that we commented on is how many people use the gardens and pars. Older people gather to play cards and other games, people exercise, do Tia Chi, etc.

We cracked up on this sign. This is a civilized park as apposed to and uncivilized
park! Funny considering this was the home of a former gangster!

You see signs like this all over China. Anyone use the word
virescence? FYI it means act or state of becoming green through
the formation  of chlorophyll. (Had to look it up)

These are birds. We think they belong to the men to the right of the
screen who were playing cards

Men gathered in the park to play cards. The round things on the
 ground is more birds.

Also inside the Tea House

Beautiful doors. The glass in etched with the design

These men were really cute. They tried to talk to us in English -
mainly saying Hello. Then the accordion player started playing
American songs.

Love this walkway into another garden

Veronica, Marilyn and I on a pretty bridge crossing to another
 garden

In this walkway the rocks are laid so the edges are
facing up. Many people take their shoes off and walk
on this walkway as a message for the feet.
