China - Day 38, Friday

Today was a Meet and Greet for Elementary Parents at a club house in Green Villas. I had texted Richard (our driver) yesterday the address and asked him to pick me up for 8:45. I went to the area he usually picks us up (you can not drive in our complex, only around the outside) to discover he was not there. I waited until after 9, then decided I should just get a taxi. I need to go back to the apartment to get Lily's phone number. She had told me to call her and she would give my driver the directions, I figured she could also tell the taxi driver. I go the taxi and I could not reach Lily, or Veronica. So I finally call Iris. She looks the address up on the computer and tells the taxi driver where I want to go. By this time it is 9:45. I finally get to the reception at 10am. In time to hear the end of the Principal's talk. Another frustration! Apparently Richard never got my text. So now our rule is if he doesn't reply back, I have to call him.


I had to run to Carrefour for a few groceries, so I decided to take a couple of pictures of the Pringles that I mentioned earlier this week - lest you think I am kidding!
